"Baked" Beans [Pan Version]

Ingredients
  • 1 x 420 gm can beans--choose whichever you like: five bean mix, kidney beans, cannellini beans, borlotti beans, etc. (pour off liquid) 
  • 2 tsp oil 
  • 1 large onion roughly chopped 
  • 1 cup chopped GF bacon 
  • 800 gm can chopped tomatoes (for variety, use ones which contain roasted capsicum or diced olives or whatever takes your fancy) 
  • 1 tbsp honey 
  • 1 tsp mustard 
  • 1 tbsp GF Worcestershire sauce
Method
  1. Add oil to pan & cook bacon and onions until onions are golden
  2. Add all other ingredients to pan & simmer covered for 30 to 45 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  3. Serve on toast

If you have plenty of time, consider the slow-cooker version, it's a healthier option
