Flaked Rice Porridge

This is a great starter to the day.
  • 1/2 cup flaked brown rice (available from your local supermarket, in the health food section; or at a much lower price from your local Indian food-store)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tbsp dried fruit (tropical mix or sultanas, etc) or 1 sliced fresh banana
  • milk & honey to taste
  1. combine rice, water and fruit in a breakfast bowl 
  2. microwave uncovered on high for 3 minutes
  3. stir in milk & honey before serving
