Gnocchi & Ham Bake


  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 leek, white part only, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup thickened cream
  • 1 cup GF chicken stock
  • 500g GF traditional/potato gnocchi
  • 1¼ cup shredded cheese
  • 3 tsp thyme leaves
  • 4 to 5 slices leg ham, roughly torn


  1. Preheat oven to 200ºC
  2. Whisk cream and stock in a jug until combined
  3. Heat oil in a 30cm oven/stovetop proof dish at medium to high heat
  4. Cook leek in dish, regularly stirring until soft (~3 minutes)
  5. To the dish, add cream mixture, gnocchi, 1 cup of the cheese and 2 tsp of the thyme, stir to combine.
  6. Bring to the boil then remove from heat
  7. Arrange ham evenly over minture in dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese
  8. Bake in oven for 25 minutes or until golden all over
  9. Let stand for 5 minutes, then serve sprinkling each serving with the remaining thyme leaves
